Three Gorge (MaoGong Shan)

Three gorge flying is a dreaming flying site, the flying site is just aside Yangzi river and near The Three Gorge Dam and you can see it from the following photo that you can easily fly alone the bank to great distance.

It's about 2 hours drive from Yichang City to this site and the road to launch site is easy and good. The height from the water to launch site is 970 meters. The take off is always a little tricky, you need to launch to the back side then turn 180 degrees, so than you can use the dynamic lift. The local wind always alone the Yangzi river, so you can cross the river. (when I flew there , 2004, Mar 6th , I easily climbed to 1400meters without a Vario and cross the river twice); There are large greed lands alone two banks side, you can land anywhere as you like.
